Islands - sustainable creation of land area

||| Construction of artificial islands of various shapes and sizes

One of the strengths of Marine Engineering Technologies is land creation and restoration. Reclamation creates land for the future - new industrial sites, commercial and residential areas, ports, recreational or natural habitats and artificial islands.

We pride ourselves on being a factor in the restoration and creation of new land, and we always do so with a focus on sustainability in every project. For example, materials from harbor dredging can be used in large-scale land reclamation projects, which undoubtedly reduces the negative environmental impact.

Another area in which we are experts is improving the condition of sand and sediment through compression techniques. In this way, we make sure that the land recovery or restoration process is carried out sustainably and cost-effectively.

Beach extension is the process of pumping sand onto an eroding shoreline to extend an already existing beach. An extended shoreline provides increased protection from coastal storms and beach erosion, protecting the infrastructure of sites located near or along the shoreline.

Sand is pumped using modern dredging equipment and spread over the surface of the beach to create or extend the already existing beach area.
