Coastal defense
||| Coastal defense
Coastal erosion is strongly influenced by increasingly variable seas and visible changes in sea level around the world. Undoubtedly, the proper planning and implementation of coastal protection activities is becoming extremely important for the communities, cities and infrastructure along our coasts.
||| Fortification of the river and sea coast
We have extensive experience in a wide range of coastal protection methods, this includes: construction of hard sea defences, seawalls, dikes, breakwaters, breakwaters, fixed piers as well as sand dune stabilisation.
||| Building sustainable coastal dunes
Restoration of natural or man-made dunes to build coastal defences.
Dunes provide a high degree of protection against coastal flooding and erosion.
-
Construction by dumping dredged material on land followed by shaping using bulldozers.
-
Construction of new coastal protection facilities, helping to form a wider sandbar that will prevent the drift of the existing one.
||| Construction with Geotubes
A large tube made of a specially constructed textile is filled with sand and buried, thus holding the sand or soil in place, preventing erosion and other damage. This type of beach reinforcement projects are implemented to protect the shoreline from destructive storms and reduce the flow of inevitable future erosion. One of the benefits is that by recreating this type of dune, the aesthetics of the coastline are improved, and wildlife is supported by providing a natural-looking habitat.
